Who is the artist? • The Artist that I chose is Vincent Van Gogh because he is one of my favorite artist and I really like all his paintings.
Where are they from? • Vincent van Gogh, for whom color was the chief symbol of expression, was born in Groot-Zundert, Holland. The son of a pastor, brought up in a religious and cultured atmosphere, Vincent was highly emotional and lacked self-confidence
What is the the name of the art work? • The Art Worked I picked is called Irises. It’s a really beautiful Art work.
What year was the art work created? The Irises was painted when Van Gogh was living in France, in the last year before his death in 1890 so he made it in 1889.
What is the subject of the art work? • That it’s a remarkable hand-painted oil painting reproduction on canvas. Canvas:
What medium did the artist use for this art work? • Van Gogh used oil on canvas just plain oil painting on canvas. If he wanted to ship it he would roll it into a mailing tube and ship it.
Why did you choose this particular artwork and artist? • First of all I choose this artist which is Van Gogh because he is one of my favorite artists of all time because he has really beautiful drawings that we can understand for example Picasso I wouldn’t pick him as my favorite because I don’t understand his paintings I think they are weird. Also I picked that artwork because I love flowers and one of my favorite is the irises because it looks beautiful and smells nice, also I picked that because I love spring and in spring flowers bloom, and on the picture it showed that it was green and the flowers bloomed.
