2. In conclusion I agree that communal politics was the main reason for separation. The fact that UMNO played communal politics created a series of events, which included racial riots. This made the situation serious and eventually forced Singapore and Malaya to propose a separation to prevent the matter from getting out of hand. (But need to weigh other factors as well)

3. In my opinion, all reasons play an equal role to the separation of Singapore from Malaya. Communal politics created tension between the two political parties from both countries, leading to disagreements. Economic reasons made Singapore feel that the goals of the common market was not achieved. Race riots made Malaya fear that more riots would take place if they didn’t separate.

4. In conclusion, communal politics was a reason for separation but there were other factors to the taken into consideration for communal politics to be ‘the’ reason for separation. (Wrong style)
