Communication, information and media for adolescents • Make information, media and communication tools available for adolescents: mass media, digital platforms (mind rocks and others), media of MoIB, interpersonal communication packages for adolescents, mobile phones, etc. • Use these media to communicate to adolescentsand provide information, knowledge and skills which help them to survive, develop, stay protected and participate • Develop innovative tools to transmit information to adolescents in the most impactful and effective ways
Communication and advocacy about adolescents • Advocate on behalf of adolescents: media campaigns to influence public opinions regarding issues affecting adolescent girls and boys, e.g. sexual violence, child marriage, child domestic work, migration, sanitation, etc. Use celebrities, promote new role models and enhance the status of girls • Initiate discourses with key stakeholders (especially the media) to create an enabling environment around adolescent issues • Develop media-friendly package on adolescents (Delhi)
Communication and advocacy by adolescents • Adolescents influence public opinions: Support adolescents to express their opinions in various media platforms (including digital) to influence public opinions. Lobby MoIB to provide space and resources for adolescent voices in public and private media platforms (Delhi) • Involve adolescent girls and boys in community development: Lobby tribal, rural and urban development departments to make platforms available for adolescents to voice their opinions and influence decisions regarding community development solutions. A&C can identify platforms and advocate with relevant ministries • Mobilization and civic engagement of children and adolescents: Participation, contribution and autonomy…
