Jan 16, 2007 • Cross-Validation Serve Country Code and Called Country Code cannot be the same for an International Call. • Special Features Used is ‘D’; or • Toll Tariff Descriptor is 01, 15, 17, or 18. Toll Tariff Descriptor of 16 (intra-Mexico) and 19 (intra-country) are exempt
Some Tips on Serve & Called fields • Called State of ‘ZZ’ is acceptable if there are no state codes defined in Table 31 for the Called Country. • Called Country of ‘SAT’ is used for satellite calls. Please use sparingly! • Serve Country is always the country of the serving carrier. • ‘CL’ or ‘CF’ (service calls) are not valid in the Serve State field. These are used for the Called State field only, where applicable. • For mobile-originated calls, the Called Country is the country that the mobile subscriber is calling. Please note this when determining the Toll Tariff Descriptor “terminating to” ; Also, when determining Toll Tariff Descriptor “originating from” , use the serve place/country as basis – not where the mobile subscriber came from • For mobile-terminated calls, the Called Country is the country where the mobile subscriber answered the call. In this case, do not use the Called Number / Mobile Directory Number (MDN) to derive the Called Country
Proposed Changes June 16, 2007 • Zero-Rated Records (Special Features Used ‘X’) • Require Air Charge and Toll Charge to be zeroes • Applicable to Type 22 records only • Should be used in conjunction with Special Features Used ‘F’ (No Air) and Special Features Used ‘J’ or ‘K’ (No Toll), where applicable • Require Air Connect Time to be non-zero • To prevent Duplicate condition • Must be non-zero even for Special Features Used ‘F’ (No Air) or ‘X’ (Zero-Rated), or ‘M’ (SMS) Near Future (being suggested) Called State ‘ZZ’ is not acceptable if Called Country is ‘USA’ or ‘CAN’ • This is still open for discussion • Carriers should voice their concerns
