Preliminary results • the main land cover patterns and cover classes can be detected using red edge position (REP) • with the REP of two different dates a classification is possible • the REP seems to follow the hydrological gradient, being lower in the more arid North and getting higher towards the more humid Southeast • Further research • Validation with real time ground truth data • Influence of topography, plant density, phenological status etc. • The relationship between the absoluteREP and a specific land us /cover class Remote Sensing Research Group, Geography Department University of Bonn, Germany
