  3. Trend No. 1  - THE MILITARY WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN INSTITUTION FOR THE DEFENSE OF THE NATION AND FILIPINO PEOPLE, HAS BECOME AN INSTITUTION FOR THE PRESERVATION ANDCONSOLIDATION OF PERSONAL POWER BY THE PRESIDENT.

  4. Trend No. 2 - CORRUPTION AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF POWER HAS EVEN BECOME MORE ENTRENCHED, WITH THE HEAD OF STATE ANDITS POLITICAL ALLIES SHAMELESSLY LEADING/GOVERNING BY NEGATIVE EXAMPLE.

  5. Trend No. 3 -MANIPULATION AND UNDERMINING OF PHILIPPINE POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC INSTITUTIONS BY THE PRESIDENT IN THE QUEST FOR PERSONAL SURVIVAL AND FOR MAINTAINING POWER

  6. Trend No. 4EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS, DISAPPEARANCES, ABDUCTIONS AND OTHER CRIMES AGAINST THE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PERPETRATED BY MINIONS OF THE STATE PARTICULARLY AGAINST CRITICS AND THE DEMOCRATIC OPPOSITION, AND THIS CONTINUES WITH IMPUNITY.
