Social rules can vary in following areas: • Attitudes toward work and success • Ex. Material comfort =superiority • Hardworking people= are better than others • Roles and status • Culture dictates the roles that people play • Also it dictates how people show respect and signify rank. Ex. How they address in their working environment. (Mr.Roberts or Manager)
Social rules can vary in following areas: • Use of manners • The polite behavioral rules differ from culture to culture, something that is polite in one culture may be rude in another culture • Concepts of time • The attitudes to schedules, deadlines and appointments vary from country to country.
