As such, our service improves the quality of life for seniors and their families by providing care that is personalized, professional, dependable, kind, and respectful. Our Mission Our mission at Kind Hearts Senior Care is to give seniors the respect they deserve by providing them with kind and professional care so they can stay in the homes they love. We will do this by hiring the best caregivers, giving them the best training, putting in place the best systems, and holding ourselves accountable for implementing these systems.
Setting Expectations • You must Love Seniors • One caregiver One Client • Background, TB, & Drug testing (Oral) • We will check your references • You must be willing to take training • Orientation training 8 hours (Paid with first assignment) • Certified Companion Aide (Within 90 days, raise) • Ongoing training • You may be required to work some weekends
Setting Expectations • This is normally a part-time job • Exception, live-ins and 24/7 shift work sometimes • About your assignment • You will start out providing respite and supporting new clients • Could be 4-6 weeks before a regular assignment • Could be 1-3 months before 35-40 hours • Driving record checks • In-home companion care has a federal exemption from paying overtime.
Setting Expectations • We have standards you are required to follow • KHSC, TSC, and state mandated standards • We will teach them to you • Dress, care, behavior, confidentiality
Welcome Home Service (WHS) • National program I was inspired to bring here by the discharge planners at the hospital. • One time service • Pick from the hospital and take them home • 4 additional services clean fridge, change sheets Vacuum, help with a bath, 6 hours of service 1 fee • Do you see this as a good service? Is there something we should add? • I could see us referring clients to you from WHS
Referral Program • Part WHS program is $100 for any client retained • We want to provide the best care possible • We want to get help for those who need it • $300 referral for any client retained • Nationally caregivers are the #2 source of referrals
