Definitions and Details • Web Parts – Server controls that execute at the server and display to the browser • Zones – Areas of a web page that are containers for Web Parts • Galleries – Collections of Web Parts that can be added to a web page • Web Part Page Gallery – Any Web Parts that have been closed • Site Name Gallery – List of all available Web Parts and Lists on the site • Virtual Server Gallery – Web Parts installed on the Virtual Server • Online Gallery – Default to the Microsoft web part gallery, but can be changed or turned off

Adding Web Parts • Browse – The most common method by either drag and drop or select the zone and use the Add button. • Search – Searches across galleries by keyword. • Import – Add a Web Part not currently in the gallery. • Appearance – Title and frame state • Layout – Display details • Advanced Web Part Properties
