Bristol City CouncilClient Case Study Project overview Salix helped Bristol City Council to deliver a street lighting project to upgrade over 10,000 street lights on main roads across the borough, helping to save £503,000 on their energy costs. • Pre Project Conditions – • Upgrading of the councils street lighting formed a core part of the their cost savings strategy, but the solution they wished to install was not viable without low-cost funding

Bristol City CouncilClient Case Study Project overview Salix helped Bristol City Council to deliver a street lighting project to upgrade over 10,000 street lights on main roads across the borough, helping to save £503,000 on their energy costs. • Salix Funded Solution – • £1.1m – 100% interest free funding for an energy efficient upgrade to Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) lamps • £503,000 annual energy cost savings • 2,380 tonnes of CO2 saved per year • Project paid back in 2.2 years

Kings College Hospital Client Case Study Project overview Salix helped Kings College Hospital to deliver a new state of the art LED lighting project saving £20,170 on their annual energy costs • Pre Project Conditions – • Kings College Hospital had a 100 year old building with old fashioned lamps • They were keen to look at a cost-effective, long term solution to replace these lamps

Kings College Hospital Client Case Study Project overview Salix helped Kings College Hospital to deliver a new state of the art LED lighting project saving £20,170 on their annual energy costs • Salix Funded Solution – • Installed LED tubes at a cost of £96,327 • Reduced their lighting consumption by 50% • £20,170 annual cost saving • Project payback of 4.8 years • Saving 157 tCO2 per year

London Borough of Enfield Client Case Study Project overview Salix helped London Borough of Enfield deliver a lighting controls project, achieving an overall energy saving of 25% across 20 of its Park Buildings and Libraries. • Pre Project Conditions – • Lights left on during the day in unoccupied buildings and during week after weekend use • Sites chosen included 12 parks & 6 libraries with a total annual consumption of 385,382 kWh • Running costs of £38,000 per year

London Borough of Enfield Client Case Study Project overview Salix helped London Borough of Enfield deliver a lighting controls project, achieving an overall energy saving of 25% across 20 of its Park Buildings and Libraries. • Salix Funded Solution – • £44,950 – 100% interest free funding • Post project consumption reduced to 288,883 kWh, a 25% saving • £9,650 annual cost saving • Saving 50.62 tCO2 per year • Project paid back within 4.7 years
