  3. ACSA’s Vivid Description

  4. Description of ACSA Structure • State ACSA – the state level of ACSA government. • Region ACSA – 19 regions across the state, consisting of charters, usually combined by county. The functions of each region shall be to promote within the region the purposes of ACSA.

  5. Description of ACSA Structure • Charters – the local group of members. Can be a larger district or group of smaller districts. Charters are created for the purpose of implementing the state program at the local level, for the involvement of members, for the utilization of leadership potential and for effective communication between all levels of governance of ACSA.

ACSA State Delegate Assembly • State Board Members – 28 total • State Committee Chairs – 8 total • State Council Presidents – 12 total • Region Delegates – 85 total • Consists of each region’s president, president-elect, and vice president for legislative action. The number of additional delegates for each region depends on membership numbers in each region.

  19. ACSA Charters • Charter Membership • Some charters charge dues to be a charter member on top of State ACSA dues • Some charter members do not pay state ACSA dues • To be a Charter President you must be a paid State ACSA member

  24. Your Leadership Role in Communicating ACSA’s Message • A top priority for every ACSA leader is sharing ACSA’s mission, vision and priorities with members and potential members. • This information should be shared repeatedly and should be made a focal point at all ACSA events.

  25. Framing all Communications • Every action an ACSA leader takes – from planning an event to delivering a speech to meeting with legislators to communicating through email – should center on ACSA’s vision, mission and priorities. • Sharing ACSA’s message and linking it to personal stories, reflections and local successes will go a long way to ensuring the success of ACSA.
