Video storytelling: An introduction Introduction to stories, interviews and video documentation (30 mins): Discuss what makes a good story, a good interview and how it could be documented using video Note that this discussion could take place in small groups or plenary. If it is the former, include quick plenary debrief to highlights key points emerging from the discussion)
Video storytelling: Hands-on practice Reflect on a successful approach or method for capturing lesson learned, case study or good practice In threes, identify who will take on which role: (1) storyteller (2) interviewer and (3) video documenter Storyteller: Talk about the approach (5 mins) Interviewer: raws out more details by asking probing questions (5 mins) Storyteller: Make sure the approach has been understood (2 mins) All: Review the couple of segments which hold the richest insight (10 mins) Video Documenter: Record the insights (shared by the storyteller or as a conversation with the interviewer) (10min)
