The Optional module QUOTE is one of the optional modules of ASPAN and allows to budget the costs of a nesting.
All the jobs or additional costs that needs to be considered for the creation of the quote. In this dialog it is possible to set the details about the company which is preparing the quote, including the company logo, that will be included in the final printout. The currency that will be used.
STEP 1: input the data regarding the customer, part of this data will be printed out in the final report.
STEP 2: insert the data, relative costs, concerning the sheets used and the machining. In this list it is possible to specify the sheets used for the nesting job, that can be added in the .DRW format, using the add button on the right side. Once selected the file, we will be prompted to specify the cost and quantities.

The list includes all the additional costs previously defined in the preferences dialog In this section, using the add button, it is possible to insert the cost of machining, the operator, and the machine usage. Additional data/costs that is possible to add, will be taken from a list previously created in the preferences dialog.
On the side is reported the total cost of the additional data/costs At the bottom of the dialog it is shown the total of all the quotation.
Now is possible to save the quotation, that will be added to the list on the main dialog of the module. It is possible to print the quotation in order to send it by post or email
Having the NESTING optional module enabled in ASPAN, it is possible to create the quotation directly from it.
add the sheets add the sheets type, choosing if the sheet is part of a real stock, a part resulting from the wasted area from a previous nesting, or part of a virtual stock. In the advanced properties, for every single sheet it is possible to specify, plus to the cost of the sheet, the quantity, and also the typology of the sheet and its priority during the processing.
If we decide to use the virtual sheets, from advanced options it is possible to set up the suggestion regarding the dimension X, Y or both.
Now is possible to start the elaboration. Before start the elaboration ASPAN will prompt to select the stock of sheets that we want to use for the nesting, if only the real stock, or waste or the virtual one, or all typologies.
From the menu “Process > Update sheet store” it is possible, if virtual sheets have been created, to inset them in the real stock by selecting a sheet and clicking on the right arrow the selected sheet will be added to the real stock.
Using the menu command “Process > Quote > Create” it is possible to create the quotation
The command will start the wizard procedure for the creation of the quote. STEP 1: Enter the customer's data, some of these data will be printed in the final report.
STEP 2: insert the data, relative costs, concerning the sheets used and the machining. In addition to the sheets inserted automatically by Aspan, we can insert any other sheet using the add button on the side.
Here is a list of additional costs defined in the preferences panel. In this section, using the add button, insert the costs of processing, machine and operator. Additional data/costs that can be insert are the ones previously defined in the preference dialog.
Now we can choose to save the budget which will be added to the list on the main screen of Quote module. Or you decide to print it in order to send it by post or email.
If we return to the Supervisor environment and the start Quotes (Utilities -> Quotes) we have the list of the program that created the two estimates we can decide whether to delete or open for a possible amendment or otherwise.
