Brainstorm Remember the Driving Question for this Blast, another version of the essential question for this unit: How does engaging with topical issues help develop our view of the world? In your notebook, make three columns, one for the Blast Background, one for themselves, and one for someone they know. Start with the Background and fill in reasons that the Blast suggests that engaging with topical issues is necessary for developing a world view. After that, apply the question to yourself to begin developing a list of reasons why you personally think engaging with topical issues helps to develop our view of the world. Lastly, think about someone specific you know and how they would respond to the driving question.
