  4. What is AVID? AVID stands for AdvancementViaIndividual Determinationand is an electiveclass that prepares students withacademic potential, for success in advanced classes and in college. At EPMS, AVID is offered as your Elective for the FULL YEAR. I promise it will NOT be your average Elective 

Student Expectations • Maintain at least a 2.5 G.P.A. each term • Show great citizenship and attendance • Be a well-rounded student • Maintain an organized binder • Take notes every day in every class • Participate in weekly tutorials within the AVID class • Take rigorous classes • Remain in the program for full year.

  9. What to do next… • The deadline for applying to the EPMS AVID program is on Friday, February 12th. Turn in to the office or turn in directly to me in room MH 4. • If you have questions about the AVID program, you can contact Ms. Foltz via email through schoolloop or swing by my room.
