  2. Background • APF Study Group has a task to improve the description of access point functionality and topology • This “call for input” is part of an information gathering process • Inputs will be tabulated for discussion at San Antonio meeting

  3. Information needed • We want to compile a list of all the discrete functions that real access points perform. • Some are obvious: • “Transfer MSDUs between DS and the AP STA” • Some are not obvious or outside the standard: • Collect statistical information about station operation We want you to make a list of all the functions you believe are part of an “access point” (by your own definition)

  4. How to submit • Please prepare your list in one of the following forms: • Plain text document • MS Word document • Excel spreadsheet • Make as many entries as you like but include comments for functions that are non-obvious • E-mail to: email@jon.edney.name cc. dstanley@agere.com • Deadline: Nov 1st 2004
