What are Females in Transition? • Usually over age 35, mostly over 40 • Have been told by physician that they have “Poor Ovarian Reserve” • In other words, they are heading toward menopause • Perimenopause usually starts about 10 years before True Menopause, which on average is when a Females is 50.5 years of age • So, at age 40 most Females show declining reproductive potential • May or may not have been rejected by IVF programs because they do not feel you are a good candidate for using your own eggs • Have been told directly, or indirectly, that you must use Donor Eggs • Are NOT ready to call it quits on their own eggs

What is RMFC’s FIT IVF? • Females in Transition(FIT) IVF is a program in parts • Part 1 • Test to determine Egg/Ovarian Reserve • OAR, AMH, FSH • Part 2 • Discuss with Females and partner their goals and attitudes towards creating a family • If a family is love, then using Donor Eggs is appropriate • If a family is love PLUS and ONLY their genetic contributions are to be used, then FIT IVF may be an option • Discuss the “poor prognosis” with the couple/Females • If they still want to try, then offer FIT IVF Program • Part 3… follows

FIT IVF Program • The IVF cycle will be broken down into three parts • Part 1 • Patients will get a mock IVF cycle in which we stimulate the ovaries to see if they will respond • $ 2,000 • Part 2 • If the ovaries respond, then the cycle will be converted to a True FIT IVF cycle • Eggs will be retrieved • Embryos will be grown • Fee is $ 2000 • Will be charged to a Credit Card on file • Part 3 • Embryos will be transferred • Fee is $ 10000 • Will be charged to a Credit Card on File
