  12. SILICA SAND Silica is the name given to a group of minerals composed of silicon and oxygen, the two most abundant elements in the earth's crust. Silica is found commonly in the crystalline state and rarely in an amorphous state. It is composed of one atom of silicon and two atoms of oxygen resulting in the chemical formula SiO2. High quality raw silica sand excavated selectively to ensure high content of SiO2, required grain size and low content of impurities. Silica sands have a large number of other industrial uses depending on their characteristics Application • production of glass • foundry sand • ceramics • sandblasting and other abrasives • building products • filler and extender • pigments • water filtration www.futuremining-eg.com

  13. Silica Sand Chemical Composition Production :30,000 MT/MonthPacking : bulk on vessel or packed as per requirementShipping Term: FOB/CFRloading port : Egyptian PortsPayment : Telegraphic Transfer o Irrevocable L/C www.futuremining-eg.com

  14. GYPSUM ORE • Gypsum is an evaporate mineral most commonly found in layered sedimentary deposits in association with halite, anhydrite, sulfur, calcite, and dolomite. Gypsum (CaSO4.2H2O) is very similar to Anhydrite (CaSO4). The chemical difference is that gypsum contains two waters and anhydrite is without water. Gypsum is the most common sulfate mineral. • Applications: • manufacture of wallboard • As a hardening retarder in portland cement. • As a soil additive (sometimes called land plaster) • As an additive in turbid water • To create surgical and orthopedic casts. • As a food additive. • As a color additive for drugs and cosmetics. • A primary ingredient in toothpaste. www.futuremining-eg.com

  16. QUARTZ lumps & Sand • Quartz is a chemical compound consisting of one part silicon and two parts oxygen. It is silicon dioxide (SiO2). It is the most abundant mineral found at Earth's surface, and its unique properties make it one of the most useful natural substances. • Applications: • Glass Making • As an Abrasive • As a filler & absorbent • As a Foundry Sand • In the Petroleum Industry www.futuremining-eg.com

  18. FELDSPAR Feldspars are a group of rock-forming tectosilicate minerals that make up about 41% of the Earth's continental crust by weight. Feldspars crystallize from magma as veins in both intrusive and extrusive igneous rocks and are also present in many types of metamorphic rock. Applications: • Glass industry • Ceramics industry • Porcelain • Pottery www.futuremining-eg.com

  20. Rock Phosphate The term Rock Phosphate is used to denote any rock with high phosphorus content. The most important use of rock phosphate is in the production of phosphate fertilizers for agriculture also it's being used for manufacturing healthy food supplements for animals.   FMC supplies all types of Rock Phosphate P2O5 24 % to 32% for the production of phosphate fertilizers. Applications • Fertilizer production: All fertilizers produced today contain phosphate compounds. This is because phosphorite enhances seed formation, root branching, photosynthesis, and plant growth and development. • Animal Supplements: Powdered phosphate contents are healthy food supplements for animals. Phosphate rocks help animals to build their bones and repair their body tissues and be physically fit. www.futuremining-eg.com

  22. IRON ORE Iron ores are rocks and minerals from which metallic iron can be economically extracted. The ores are usually rich in iron oxides and vary in color from dark grey, bright yellow, or deep purple to rusty red. Ores containing very high quantities of hematite or magnetite (greater than about 60% iron) are known as "natural ore" or "direct shipping ore" DSO, meaning they can be fed directly into iron-making blast furnaces. Iron ore is the raw material used to make pig iron, which is one of the main raw materials to make steel—98% of the mined iron ore is used to make steel, which accounts for over 90% of all metals used in the world. Applications • In Steel industries and DRI Plants • In Cement Production • In paint factories www.futuremining-eg.com

  24. BENTONITE CLAY • Bentonite  is an absorbent aluminium phyllosilicate clay consisting mostly of montmorillonite. The different types of bentonite are each named after the respective dominant element, such as potassium (K) , sodium (Na) , calcium (Ca), and aluminium (Al). Experts debate a number of nomenclatorial problems with the classification of bentonite clays. Bentonite usually forms from weathering of volcanic ash, most often in the presence of water. However, the term bentonite, as well as a similar clay called tonstein, has been used to describe clay beds of uncertain origin. For industrial purposes, two main classes of bentonite exist: sodium and calcium bentonite.  • Applications • Purification • Foundry-sand bond • Drilling mud • Absorbent • Pottery • Groundwater barrier www.futuremining-eg.com

  25. Bentonite Physical Properties Supply Ability: 300 – 400 MT/MonthPacking: packed as per requirementShipping Term: FOB/CFRloading port: Egyptian PortsPayment: Telegraphic Transfer or Irrevocable L/C www.futuremining-eg.com
