  2. Review: 'ight': light, bright, fight, night, right Good readers read for a purpose. Knowing why you are reading something helps you understand the text better.

  3. Grammar: Adjectives • Let’s describe this tiger.

  7. Good Readers: Look at Text Structure Good readers use the way text is organized to help them understand why and what they read. This is a descriptive text. I can see the parts Of this story. First, next, and last... This text is comparing

  8. Good Readers: Look at text structure Descriptive: Sequential: Compare/contrast: Cause and effect: I can use graphic organizers!

  9. The Dog and the Shadow Effects He had to open his mouth. Cause The dog wanted more meat. He lost all his meat.
