  3. Project Overview We are creating a system to allow astronauts on the ISS to consume fresh eggs in a clean and safe fashion. This project has three parts: • Egg Extracter • Egg Cooker • Egg Container

  4. Egg Extracter Using an egg topper, we will make a circular hole on the top of the eggshell. Then, we will suck the contents of the egg out with a rubber egg yoke remover. Then, we will squirt the egg contents out into the metal dish.

  5. Egg Cooker Two peltier plates will heat either side of the dish while cooling the outside of the cooker. This will keep the outside touch temperature under 120 degrees fahrenheit while cooking the egg internally at 160 degrees fahrenheit. It will be operated by a single button and will use two LEDs to provide user feedback.

  6. Egg Container To transport the two eggs to the ISS, without the risk of them breaking on the flight, we will be making a foam container.
