The 42nd President of the United States was impeached by the House of Representatives on two charges—perjury and the obstruction of justice on December 19, 1998. The charges arose from the Lewinsky scandal and the Paula Jones lawsuit. However, Clinton was acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999. President Bill Clinton Impeached!
Beginning in the mid 1990s, the number of Web pages and users would double or triple every year. Users began to see the possibility of producing their own Web sites at low prices and the potential to reach out to others via email and chat. The history of the World Wide Web shows how vital it could be to business. As technology improved, it became possible to conduct business transactions online and many people began to use the internet. Internet Boom!
In December of 1991, the Soviet Union disintegrated into 15 separate countries. Its collapse was praised by the west as a victory for freedom, a triumph of democracy over totalitarianism, and evidence of capitalism over socialism.
