  2. Plotting • The instrument used is called plotter • Plotter is just like a printer • It prints the marker as we have made it

  3. Shade Sequence • This is the process of organizing all the shade in a fabric in a specific sequence to avoid shade difference at the end of the process. • For this purpose shade card is made • Dark to light • Light to dark

  4. Layer and Lay • Layer • One ply of fabric in a spread to cut is known as layer or ply • Lay • Lay is the whole sum of fabric to be cut in one go this is also known as spread

  5. What is a splitting paper/ Splitter • Splitting paper or splitter is used to separate two different type of fabrics in the same lay • Separation of fabrics of different shades • Separation of fabrics of different colors

  6. Spreading • The process of superimposing fabric layers to get the required number of garments at a time

  7. Types of Spreading • Basically there are two types of spreading • Face to face / Back to back / Two way • Face-up / One way
