  2. Information on Theodore: • Born on 1791 in France. • Considered the founder of Romanticism. • Inherited fortune from his mom. • Went to school at Lyceum and dropped out in 1808 at age 17. • Studied with Carle Vernet and in the studio of Pierre Guerin. • Died in 1824 from falling off a horse.

  3. What did his paintings look like? • They were Romantic • They were more Realistic than Idealistic • Although he was more Realistic, he still drew things that couldn’t be real, but looked like it • They usually had people suffering
