Read how to make a video… Q: What kind of video can I create?A: You can do either an Interview style video, Technical Presentation video, Product Tutorial video. You can find an interview style guide, some hints and tips along with a link to FREE Camtasia video software http://www.tivoli-ug.org/videocontest.Q: What are the criteria for submitting a video?A: The submission must be of positive nature relating to IBM Tivoli software. If a third party software is highlighted it must show integration with a Tivoli product. The entry must be at least 2.5 minutes but no more then 10 minutes and can't be larger then 1GB. The acceptable formats are Windows Media Video (.WMV), .AVI (windows), .MOV (mac), .MP4 (ipod/psp), .MPEG, .FLV (adobe flash) Q: What are the contest dates?A: Starting NOW through October 29, 2010 videos can be submitted through the Global Tivoli User Community website. Winners of the contest will be announced on November 23, 2010. Q: Who will be judging?A: Three parties will be involved in the judging: 1)The Global Tivoli User Group (GTUG) council. 2) Group Intelligence, Inc. - website vendor for the Global Tivoli User Community. 3) All members of the user community of www.tivoli-ug.org. The GTUG council will narrow the selection down to the top three videos and all members will have a chance to vote for their favorite.

  5. 2010/2011 Premiere User Groups The Global Tivoli User Community recognizes Tivoli User Groups who make extraordinary contributions to the Tivoli user community by their exemplary, leadership and overall community engagement. • BENFITS: • ◦Appreciation gifts to raffle off at their meetings • ◦Tivoli Executive to attend/speak at one of their upcoming meetings. • ◦Three geography specific group Support Technical Exchanges (STEs) tailored sessions Brand new club members for 2010/2011

Does your User Group want to attain Premier Status for the 2011/2012 year? • Premiere user groups will be selected on the following criteria: • 25% increase in growth or 200+ Members • Customer lead Group • At least 2 or more meetings since July 09 • Provide Post meeting feedback (filled out form) • Meetings are posted on the TUC site • Leaders must attended at least one UG leaders call since Aug 2010 – July 2011 • Community engagement; • Has the leader updated their profile • In regular contact with the Geo Manager • Forward TUC emails as appropriate • User Group Forum • Post presentations to the community at large The more criteria the user group meets the higher of percentage of attaining Premier TUG Club status

WANTED: GTUG Council members! • Mission: The mission is to extend the effectiveness of Tivoli user groups by providing operational feedback for the improvement of Tivoli's products and services by working proactively with Tivoli on planning, strategy and development prioritization, as well as expanding Tivoli user group networking capabilities globally. • The entire GTUG Council meets monthly via 1-2 hour conference call to work on cross products issues, User Groups, and Requirements • The GTUG Council consists of Sub Councils, that focus on various IBM Tivoli offerings. (Storage, Automation, Security and Asset) • The GTUG Sub Councils meet at least quarterly via conference call to work on their product areas • GTUG Council Committee oversees the GTUG Council and Sub Councils. It consists of seven members from around the world. • For more information view the GTUG Charter. Ask the Expert On-line Jam session • Save the Date: Tuesday, November 9 • The "Ask the Experts Online Jam" is a valuable opportunity for the YOU the Global Tivoli User Community (TUC) Members to connect with 50+ real world IBM experts on a range Tivoli products. These experts, many from IBM development, are recruited to answer your questions for a concentrated period of 12 hours. • NEW –Q&A tool will open up at 11:00pm Eastern (New York) on Monday, November 8th to accommodate more business hour time zone for the Asia Pacific region

  14. “Be Heard” Collaboration tool is now “Share your Views” How It Works You can communicate and share your thoughts and information easily with other TUC members by using the "Comment" or "Content" submission buttons wherever you see the icon. Share you Views is located at : Education, Certification, Presentations, All User Group home pages and more! One User Group home page with a comment

This collaboration tool is available to all Global Tivoli User Community members to collaborate on topics of interest including Tivoli products, specific user groups, etc. Are you interested in starting a forum specifically for your user group or a specific Tivoli related topic?
