PROBLEM STATEMENT • Our agency employs 1,000 approximate employees • At least 1/3rd have younger children who need care • Running a daycare alongside the agency can help employees with the care for their children • Can save the employees a great amount of time finding babysitters and daycares for their younger children • About 300 of our employees have younger children • Daycare will serve a great purpose

RESEARCH FINDINGS *MUST HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE • Protects daycares from any bodily injury or property damage claim and medical payments Employees must have: • Criminal history records check (fingerprint) • Child abuse registry check • Sex offender registry check Proof of vehicle insurance • Required if facility transports children License • Must hold a license issued by licensing agency
RESEARCH FINDINGS Daily Routines • Must be scheduled for the same time each day Eating • Minimum of 30 minutes must be scheduled for meal periods • Minimum of 15 minutes must be scheduled for snacks Outdoor Activities • Infants must have minimum 30 minutes of outdoor activities • Toddlers must have minimum of 2 hours of outdoor activities *
RESEARCH FINDINGS CONTINUED Cribs • Must provide a crib or similarly purchased bed unit Well Trained Caretakers • Caretakers must be well-trained and have proof of experience Infants and Toddlers • Must provide to child's parent daily written reports • Includes liquid intake, child’s disposition, bowel movements, eating & sleep patterns

SUMMARY • Daycares next to a business can provide much relief for parents who are hardworking employees.
