Hike It is important to: Finish the hike and so achieve the task. Be aware of the needs of each individual. • What is their experience? • Do they have any useful skills e.g navigation • Are there any physical issues? • What is the correct pace taking account of the individuals involved?
Hike (cont.) Ensure the scouts work together as a group. • No splitting up with the strong ones leaving the weaker ones behind. • Use the skills of the group to get everyone there. • Group motivation important. • Encourage them to work together as a team and support one another
