  4. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com • Game Play  • Give each person a straw. • Place a bowl of navy beans, or green peas or other small smooth round objects at the opposite side of the room. • Like an aardvark sucking up ants, each person must suck through the straw so that a bean stays attached to the end and bring the bean back to his team. • Any bean dropped must be retrieved. You may need to reposition the bowl closer depending on how difficult you want it to be. www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com

  5. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com First team to each bring a pea back wins. www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com

  6. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com Game VariationHave your participants stand or sit around a table with the bowl of beans in the center and a cup in front of each person. At the signal each person tries to remove as many beans from the bowl as possible, dropping each into his/her cup. The person to retrieve the most beans and the end of a given time wins. www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com

  7. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com Optional Game Debrief How is this game similar to trying to hold on to material things in life? What are some things you try to hold on to? What are the things you most want to have? At what cost would you get them? www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com

  8. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com Optional ConclusionIn this game, the things you want to hold on to, often get away. Many times the things in life we are chasing after and trying to hold on to seem to be very difficult to keep. They are always jus out of reach. or when we get them, we seem to lose them even quicker. In scripture we are told that the person who holds on to his life will lose it. The person who loses his life will find it. We are told that we should not pursue the things of this world, but the things of heaven. All the things of this world will one day pass away www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com

  9. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com ApplicationWhat is something in your life you are holding on to, that you need to let go? Make a commitment to let go of it and place it in God’s hands this week. ScriptureLuke 12:15-21; Matthew 10:39 www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com

  10. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com Camp Curriculum - Whale of a Tale Bible Studies based on the book of Jonah Only. This youth camp curriculum was designed to teach the basic truths of obedience in addition to evangelism in the context of a Biblical character. The advantage of going through a book and looking at one man's story is that we see not only the teaching but the example. It becomes much more real! -> Tell me about “Whale of a Tale” www.creativeyouthideas.com/resources/order5.html

  11. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com Creative Youth IdeasCamp Bible Study Series“Who Do You Say that I AM?” Jesus asked the disciples, "Who do others say that I am?" It was easy to answer because it required no conviction, no commitment, and no risk. But then he follows that question with another, "Who do YOU say that I am?" -> Tell me about “Who Do You Say that I AM?” www.creativeyouthideas.com/resources/whodoyousay.html

  12. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com Creative Youth IdeasYouth Camp Bible Study Series“Fruit Of the Spirit” Live the Fruitful, Abundant Life Jesus Promised. There are 7 Primary Bible study Sessions in the series. -> Tell me about “Fruit Of the Spirit” www.creativeyouthideas.com/resources/fruitofthespirit.html

  13. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com Camp Curriculum - The Great Adventure "The Great Adventure" is western themed Bible study series loosely based around the song of the same name by Steven Curtis Chapman. It was initially written for a large Texas Church to use for their Summer Youth Camp but has since then proven popular around the world. -> Tell me about “The Great Adventure” www.creativeyouthideas.com/resources/order12.html
