What is a social network? “A social network service focuses on building online communities of people who share interests and/or activities, or who are interested in exploring the interests and activities of others. Most social network services are web based and provide a variety of ways for users to interact, such as e-mail and instant messaging services.” Wikipedia, 2009 Incidentally – a social network…. How many social networks do you belong to/use? How many ‘social networks are there?

  3. Lets look at that definition again!!! “A social network service focuses on building online communities of people who share interests and/or activities, or who are interested in exploring the interests and activities of others.” YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE INTERESTED IN EVERYTHING

  5. PPC • Pay Per Click advertising When businesses want to advertise on websites such as Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Bing they use PPC

  6. BENEFITS • You are able to determine daily budget • You define the amount you are willing to pay for each visitor • If no-one clicks you don’t pay a penny • Keyword targeting – remain competitive • Use social media to target specific demographics
