  2. Sexuality • Sexuality is more than sexual feelings or sex. It is more on how you feel about yourself and how you handle others sexuality. • In your teenage year is when you will start to discover changes: • Bodily Changes • Emotional Changes • Gedagtes

  3. Influence of friends and classmates on sexuality • Friends and social groups play a big role in the development of sexuality. • They have an influence on the forming of your identity and placement that you will have in society.

  4. Family and community norms that influence the development of sexuality • Norms are rules that family and the community follow by. It can be seen as acceptable standard of living • These norms are written down and formal rules are put in place. • Every community has a set of norms that they follow by. It includes formal and informal rules with regards to how male and females conduct themselves.

  5. Cultural values that have an influence on sexuality • A value is something you believe in and that is important to you. • Different cultures incorporate values on certain things. It is possible that cultural values can have an influence on the development of sexuality. • There are certain cultures where men are seen as “higher” as the woman.

  6. Social pressure and the media that has an influence on sexuality • Teenagers will discover certain pressure situations as they develop their identity. • Pressure can come from many things: • Family • Community • Culture • Advertisments WE CALL THIS SOCIAL PRESSURE

  7. Therefore the media can also place pressure on teenagers • The media gives a false impression as to how the teenagers should and should not look. • The media can also play a positive role with regards to the information of sexuality.
