  5. The consequence for breaking school rules is the same no matter who you are.

  6. There are adults at my school I could turn to for help with problems.

  7. Adults at my school treat all students with respect.

  8. I feel safe when I am at school.

  9. If I tell an adult I am being bullied, they will do something about it.

  10. Adults make it clear that bullying is not tolerated at my school.

  11. Bullying is a problem at my school.

  12. Students at school use text messaging to bully.

  13. Students at school use social networking sites to “bash” one another.

  14. Fighting is a problem at my school.

  15. Gangs are a problem at my school.

  16. Drugs are a problem at my school.

  17. Stealing is a problem at my school.

  19. Disruptive students are a problem at my school.

Summary • The results of the Climate Survey were over-all positive, yet give us areas we can target for improvement. • The implementation of bullying prevention training with our staff should increase the overall awareness and decrease tolerance among students for bullying. • We are pleased that more than 93% of our secondary students feel their school is a good place for learning.

  22. What’s Next? • Review results with principals and ask them to review results with staff • Review results with CGPD • Implement Bullying Prevention Programs/Policy and train staff • Re-administer the survey at the end of the year to compare results/progress
