Working of a Sniffer Device • Sniffer works as a transceiver • The working of sniffers is of two phases: • Before Sniffer increases the frequency • After Sniffer increases the frequency • BTS (Base Transceiver Station) - Act as a middle man • MTSO (Mobile Telephone Switching office) = MSC(Mobile Switching Centre)
Before Sniffer Increase The Frequency • By default Mobile devices always connects to the BTS(Base Station) and MSC(Mobile Switching Center). • Now the sniffer increases the frequency and amplitude. • As shown in the figure in the next slide
After Sniffer Increase The Frequency • So, only the particular user with the IMEI will be connected to the particular frequency. • The other mobile devices of the surroundings will not be connected. • As shown in the figure in the next slide
