KongoH-gumiDesign Workbook Steve Pretty 02Jun11 Based on diagrams produced By Makiko Tada
User Guide • Before starting, save the workbook to a new file using the “Save As” option. The initial file is in Microsoft Powerpoint 2003 format. It can also be saved and used as a Powerpoint 2007 format. • Find the slide with the braid style you wish to design. • Decide on a palette of colours you might like to use for the braid – to change one of the 12 colours in the palette, select it, and then use the “Fill Colour / More Fill Colours” option (Shape Fill in Powerpoint 2007). • To change the colour of tama, select the colour you wish to use from the palette, then double click the “Format Painter”. Click on the tama or cells in the design grid you want to change. Related cells and tama are automatically updated. Click on “Format Painter” again to stop the process. • Repeat steps 3 and 4 to complete your design. • Don’t forget to use the form to document your braid! • If you have a problem or comment on this workbook, please contact me at steve.g.pretty@btinternet.com
