Harry Coumnas Takes You to the Bizarre World of Real-Life Vampires in His Next Novel Harry Coumnas is a young horror author known for his socially conscious horror novels. He beautifully blends different elements of subjects like the supernatural, mythology, monsters, after-life, and time-travel into the creepiest stories. The characters in his novels are strange and idiosyncratic, and his unique style of writing makes the whole reading experience just as strange. Some of his fiction work has also been adapted into films and documentaries. Yesterday, Harry Coumnas launched his new book “I Am the Real-Life Vampire” in his home town, Athens. Ever since the young author had shared with the media about his plans to write on Vampires, his fans had been eagerly waiting for his novel. Well, finally the wait is over as the horror novel is now available in selected book stores. During the launch of his novel, Harry Coumnas shared what made him write on the subject of Vampires. He said, “As a child, I was always inclined towards unusual things. When I was around seventeen, my best friend told me that he was a real
life vampire and transforms into one by night. The interesting part is that the revelation never affected our friendship. We are still best friends and will always be.” Harry Coumnas also revealed that the novel is somewhere inspired by his own experience with real-life vampires. While he was writing the novel, his friend who is also a vampire introduced him to the community of vampires that lead a normal life as other human beings during the day. The community included everyone from security guards, artists, models, property managers, to other professionals. During his interaction with them, Harry got to know that although vampires feed on blood, they do not believe in killing the innocent. In his novel, Harry Coumnas has tried his best to show the compassionate side of these beings. Well, we hope the readers would love reading it.
