  2. This is a comma splice:Many of you do not know what a comma splice is, that is not good.

  3. Use a semicolon between 2 independent clauses. • Basically, if it sounds like two sentences and there is no conjunction, use a semicolon, NOT a comma!!!!!!!! • I have two brothers; they are both adorable. • Joe doesn’t smile a lot; he is very chill.

  4. Use a semicolon between independent clauses separated by a conjunctive adverb or transitional expression.

  5. Here are some examples: I don’t know you; in fact, I don’t know anyone here. I want to go to the mall; therefore, I will ask my mom to drive me there. No one likes me; nevertheless, I will still run for class president.
