  1. Parameters monitored by Quick • Vibration (5 Hz) • Up to 4 vibration channels usually configured to monitor the same vibration transducer at different frequency ranges (500 , 1250Hz, 2.5, 5, 10, 40, 80 kHz). • The 3 shaft speeds and a once-per-rev tachometer signal to give phase.

  2. Parameters monitored by Quick • Performance Parameters (20-40Hz) • Flight condition : Altitude, Mach number • Fuel : Fuel Metering Valve position, Demanded Fuel flow, Fuel flow meter • Outputs : Exhaust Pressure ratio, shaft speeds, Turbine gas temp. • Oil System : Oil Pressure, temperature, quantity • Control system : Demanded Bleed valve positions, Variable stator vane position, Control loop flag, Throttle angle • Fault detection : Magnetic Chip detector, Surge detect • Temperatures & Pressures : Ambient (20), IP (25), HP (30), By-pass Pressure (16), Exhaust Pressure, Turbine Air temp • Others

  3. Features, Symptoms & Events • Features • Occurrences of diagnostic interest. E.g. step change in vibration level

  4. Features, Symptoms & Events • Features • Occurrences of diagnostic interest. E.g. step change in vibration level • Symptoms • A feature occurring at a specific engine condition may be a symptom of a known fault.

  5. Features, Symptoms & Events • Events • The co-occurrence of several symptoms leads to the diagnosis of an event

  6. Features – Symptoms - Diagnosis List of known events defined in a config file : Diagnosis number 11 Diagnosis 1 "Bowed Rotor Start" HP_SHAFT Diagnosis 2 "Bird Strike" LP_COMP Diagnosis 3 "IP Lockplate" IP_COMP Diagnosis 4 "LP Out of Balance" LP_COMP Diagnosis 5 "IP Out of Balance" IP_SHAFT Diagnosis 6 "HP Out of Balance" HP_SHAFT Diagnosis 7 "LP Mass redistribution" LP_COMP Diagnosis 8 "IP Mass redistribution" IP_COMP Diagnosis 9 "IP Failure" IP_COMP Diagnosis 10 "HP Mass redistribution" HP_COMP Diagnosis 11 "Radial Drive Shaft bearing" HP_SHAFT

  7. Features – Symptoms - Diagnosis List of Symptoms per fault : Symptom 1 of diagnosis 1 ; step_change 1h condition ACCEL STARTUP ; Symptom 2 of diagnosis 1 ; climit_detector 1h condition ACCEL STARTUP ;
