2. Our email addresses are first_last@LagoVista.TXed.net This is the fastest way to contact me. Please make sure that the information on your child’s emergency card is always up to date. It is very important for your child to be at school everyday, but If your child will beabsent, please call 267-8300 to let the office know. If you would like to send birthday treats on your child’s birthday, let us know and we’ll plan a good time. Please do not send birthday invitations to school unless there is an invitation for everyone. Friday Folderswill be sent home every Friday. Please look through these for important notes from school. We will go on field trips this year. Please return permission slips by the due dates. Communication is extremely important. If you ever have questions or concerns, please feel free to email the teacher at first_last@LagoVista.TXed.net or call at 267-8300. We will go to the computer lab once a week. We will have gym twice a week and on Fridays. Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on gym days. Your child will have homework Monday-Thursday. Please check and initial your child’s Daily Folder every night. Your child’s discipline is very important. We want to have the best learning environment possible in our classroom. We will be using the Clip Chart Behavior System to enforce positive behavior. You are the most important aspect of your child’s education.

3. When the weather gets cooler, please make sure your child wears a jacket (labeled with name) to school. Please make sure to sign in and out at the office every time you come to school. Know what’s going on by reading the weekly newsletter and checking the website & Facebook. Please get involved with the PTO. First grade will have lunch from 11:00-11:30. We will visit the library once a week for a story and to check out books. Please make sure your child takes good care of their library books. Feel free to contact us with questions or concerns. We can be reached by phone, email, or by writing a note. Please read with your child every night. Report Cards will be sent home four times a year. First grade will have recess from 10:30-11:00. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing. We will have Music once a week. Please make sure that any money that is sent to school comes in a baggie or envelope marked with its purpose. Spelling words will be sent home every Monday and a spelling test will be given on Fridays. We will be sending home Scholasticbook order forms each month. Please read the newsletters that will come home each week to learn about what’s going on in our classroom.

4. If your child has a change in their transportation home, please inform us and the office. Without a note, email, or phone call, you child MUST go home the same way as they normally do. We will have many fun and eXciting eXperiences in 1st grade. If you do not understand something we have sent home, please feel free to ask. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. We hope that we can work together this year to make your child’s 1st grade school year a huge success! If you are wanting to go on field trips or volunteer at school, you MUST have an up to date Criminal History Check on file in the office. ZZZZZZ…..Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest in order to perform their best every day. This year will zoom by so let’s make the best of it!
