Course Objectives Students will gain an understanding of: • Characteristics and properties of the primary wildland fire environmental components – fuels, weather, and topography. • How fuels, weather, and topography interact; how those interactions affect fire behavior; and how fire behavior contributes to increased risk to firefighters.
