The children of “Rimon” kindergarten from Mate Asher who live in Kibbutz Ein Hamifratz, immediately wanted to help. They looked for a jug on the sea shore of Akko Between the antiquities which you can find there, they found an empty oil jug.
They returned quickly to Rimon’s playground and there, under the olive tree, they collected many many olives. The children put the olives in a juicer , smashed them and a very good olive oil was poured out.
The children filled up the jug with olive oil and walked to Jerusalem ,to the Western Wall, the last remnantfrom our Temple. There, they met with the friends from Dallas Texas and gave them the jug of oil. The meeting was fun and very exciting. Our friends from Dallas were very happy to get the jug and gave it to the Maccabim.
When the Maccabim succeeded to use the oil which was done by the children of ‘Rimon” class and the Menorah was lightening, every one was very happy and all the children, together with the Maccabim, started singing “ Maoz Tzur”.
