  2. History of Romanian Christmas • It was a solstice celebration and the inhabitants of the area celebrated the solar deity bearing a similar name

  3. Christmas decor in Romania • Some Christmas decorations in Romania are walnuts, chestnuts ,hazelnuts, candies, apples, and chocolates wrapped in a colored paper and put on a Christmas tree.

  4. Foods • Some foods that they eat are roast gammon, pork chops ,Ciorba de perisoare ( a sour vegetable soup) ,Sarmale cabbage ,Cozona ( a rich fruit bread) ,Romanian donuts called gogosi

  5. Traditions in Romania • Some people dress up as a goat, fifty through sixty married men get in a group and start drumming ,they call Santa Old man Christmas, Old man Nicholas, and Old man Frost.
