Mobius Foundation – Empowering Girls Through Education
Introduction Introduction In rural India, educational challenges persist, especially for girls. At Mobius Foundation led by the influential environmentalist Pradip Burman, we’ve embraced this challenge as a new focus area for affirmative action. Our aim is to not only provide quality education to underprivileged girls but also to raise awareness about environmental sustainability.
Initiated in 2023 by the Mobius Foundation, the Gyan Kanya Shakti (GKS) Program, led by the influential environmentalist Pradip Burman, is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing quality education and holistic development opportunities to underprivileged girls in rural Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. By leveraging online interactive smart class-based education, health and sanitation interventions, and life skills and vocational training, GKS empowers girls to become agents of change in their communities. With a focus on bridging educational gaps and promoting sustainability, GKS currently operates in 34 government-run girls’ schools across districts such as Sheopur, Satna, Panna, and Sidhi in Madhya Pradesh, and Chitrakoot, Banda, Kaushambi, Mahoba, and Hamirpur in Uttar Pradesh. Under the visionary leadership of Pradip Burman, our goal is to expand this initiative to 100 schools, ensuring a brighter future for girls in these regions.
Our Our Approach: Approach: Smart Class-Based Education: Our smart classrooms, equipped with advanced audio-visual tools, focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FNL). This approach caters to the unique learning needs of girls in grades 6 to 8, ensuring they receive a quality education. ●
Life Skills and Vocational Training: Our curriculum includes soft skills, vocational training, and personality development. This empowers girls to thrive in their communities and the job market. ● Health and Sanitation: We organize health camps and awareness sessions to provide girls with essential healthcare services, promoting their overall well-being. ●
Our Impact Our Impact By fostering nurturing environments in economically challenged districts, we aim to empower girls to become catalysts of change in their communities. Over the next five years, we plan to expand to 100 schools, covering grades 9 to 12, thereby broadening our impact. This Gyan Kanya Shakti initiative is championed by Pradip Burman, a renowned environmentalist and influential leader. Through the Mobius Foundation, Pradip Burman continues to drive significant positive change in education and sustainability.
