Released 1/12/11 from the National Alliance to End Homeless in America • 643,067 people experiencing homelessness in any given night in the United States • Nationally the homeless population by state has increased 3.11% • Main causes of Homelessness • Uninsured people • Unemployment • Release from incarceration • Housing cost burden • Double up situations – increased 12% - 6 million

Countdown 10 Days Initial Contact & Acceptance September 13 Event September 24 • Meetings with Director • Contact committee members • Walk Route • Distribute flyers, t-shirts, & posters • Coordinate 10 volunteers • Assign street markers • Gather volunteers’ requested information • Develop, implement, & compiled survey • Feedback / Presentation to Director • Personal donations / optional
