7. There is Biblical Christianity and then there are various worldviews. The study of worldviews ends up a comparison and contrast of true, Biblical Christianity against all of the deceptive choices of worldviews that Satan’s world system has to offer. What do I believe about life and all of its basic building blocks? Where can I find the Truth?

SWORD OF SPIRIT = WORD OF GOD • The word “sword” of Ephesians 6:17b is the word for the offensive and defensive weapon of the powerful Roman soldier. • The word for “word” (of God) is not “logos” it is “Rhema” which literally means the “sayings.” • God’s spoken Word is our offensive and defensive weapon in the midst of the supernatural battle surrounding us. We are to speak God’s Word into the fabric of life—that means we must hide it in our hearts first.

THE VALUES OF 18-25 YEAR OLDS: • 81% say getting rich most important goal in life • 51% say becoming famous most important goal • 30% say helping people in need is a goal • 22% say goal of becoming a community leader • Only 10% say goal is to become more spiritual So what is the goal of most of today’s younger generation in USA? They want to become rich and famous!

43. In other words, for the Christian youth there is a “disconnect” between “knowing Truth” and “practicing Truth.” • John 3:21: • “But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

WE ARE LOSING 57%-88% OF “CHRISTIAN” YOUTH AFTER FOUR YEARS OF COLLEGE!(published figures) Friends with Campus Crusade for Christ tell me, “If we don’t get the Christian kids within the first six weeks of their freshman year [of college], we’ve lost them to the competing worldviews.” How do we lose them?

WE CANNOT DEFEND THE FAITH! • Where did Cain get his wife? • How did Noah get all the animals on the ark? • Aren’t Christians really polytheists? • Wasn’t the Flood of Noah a local flood? • Aren’t the days of Genesis long periods of time • Hasn’t science proven the universe is billions of years old? • Isn’t starlight millions of years old? • Didn’t dinosaurs go extinct 60 M. years ago?
