D- Dessert A dessert was the very first thing the Comb’s bought Ivy June when she got to Lexington.
E- Envelope Ivy June’s favorite teacher handed Ivy an envelope with money inside for her journey to Lexington.
F- Flora Flora was the Comb’s house maid with Catherine’s mother was sick.
G- Grand Mommy Grand mommy is Ivy June’s 100 year old great grandmother.
H- Hope Hope was the one wish Ivy June asked for to get her threw her odd trip to Lexington.
I- Ivy June Ivy June is the main character of the book and she is the one who makes the book interesting.

Y- Yellow Yellow was the only color Ivy June and Catherine like to paint and color with. They thought it made everything brighter.
Z- Zingers Zingers are what the girls always ate as an after-school snack.
