Institute of Petroleum Engineering Marine Renewable Energy Development in Scotland (MREDS): a key strategic involvement between HWU UHI, OIC and HIE in terms of developing research capacities; and the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in terms of optimising opportunities for further development, linked to its unique wave and tidal test facilities.
