  1. Do's & Don'ts of Wood Furniture Furniture placed in the house is the ?rst thing that catches a visitor’s eye. So, it is essential to keep it spick-and-span. Here are a few do's and don'ts to help you take care of the wooden furniture. Do's Dont's Protect your furniture against spills by quickly wiping it with a dry cloth. Place your wooden furniture in direct sunlight as it can cause fading and degrading. Use teak oil to clean furniture made of wood. Let it get exposed to the excessive moisture and high temperatures. Cover the outdoor furniture with waterproof tarps. Put hot objects or other drinks directly on the furniture as this can damage its finish.
