  4. Motivation to My Project • Never held/applied to a job before • Figure out potential jobs for myself • Share this information with other GES students • Had a really small network • Needed to expand

  5. Goal of My Project To provide me a valuable network Improve my resume/CV and cover letter Look for potential jobs and apply Provide the information to others

  6. What was accomplished Took a online career aptitude test Looked into jobs that I wanted to work at Interviewed previous GES students about their jobs Went to a networking event to interview other people Presented all the information to other GES students Improved resume/CV and cover letter Applied to jobs

  7. Job Search Look at companies that I wanted to work at such as AECOM Other jobs, I was notified by people in my existing network

  8. I have applied to….. • AECOM (Long beach, Anchorage, Honolulu) • URS (Honolulu) • Others through networking • DLNR Commission on Water Resources (Honolulu) • AECOS

  9. Evaluation • Pros • Students found it very useful and helpful • Students enjoyed hearing about recent graduates • Cons • Some students wanted to know about previous students that went into science careers • Some students wanted to know about salaries
