B Field • Infields will be re-graded this week with infield mix. • Aeration, seeding, pre-emergent scheduled shortly • Mike Chapman making a new drag. • Tarps • Need sandbags • Helping to keep rain off • Electricity is out • ~$8,000 to fix it • Do we need it now? • Tractor needs servicing • Blades sharpened/battery recharged etc. • Trash/Doggie bags/Golfers…..(please say something

  7. Finances • Budget • $123K revenue • $121K expense • Fundraiser $28K • Actual • $120K revenue • $129K expense • Fundraiser $30k

  8. Finances • Field revenue of $1,817 taken out • Bean Toss and Poker night not materializing $1,500 • Snow took down field lights ~$8,000 to fix • Golf Tournament budgeted for ½ potential $6,000 • Snack Shack is expected to drive extra $1,000

Finances • Fundraisers need to finance capital improvements • Lighting Emergencies • Turf Maintenance • Fencing • Hardscaping • Storage • Bathrooms etc.. • We Must raise fees to reflect actual costs of operating each individual sport • For example: • Basketball loses ~$14,000 over 356 registrations • Increases will still be in line with other parishes and programs

  10. B Mission • CYO Principles (the old is forever new) • Sports as a youth ministry • Coach as a youth minister • Team as a Christian community • Parents as partners

  11. B Mission • Coaches need to take a leadership role in practical ways • Say a prayer before or after practices and/or games • Foster a positive environment • Everybody plays • Sponsor a team Mass on your own • Change the discussion…….
