  2. Tips for Case Discussion • Provide a context of developing a deeper and more personal understanding of business concepts under real situations • Do not present solutions rather provide an avenue for discussion – assumptions, facts, and decision making process

  3. Read and study • Become immersed in the case early on. Pay attention to the important details. • Sort out important information. • List the "cast of characters" and their roles. • Develop a chronology of events. Draw a timeline. • Identify the basic issues or decisions approaches used in the case. • Look for the positions a reasonable person might take with regard to the issues in the case. • Try to identify issues, strengths and weaknesses of various positions.

  4. Read and study (Continued) • Mull it over. Ruminate about the case over time - let issues and details flow freely through your mind. • Think of theoretical material that might be helpful in clarifying or resolving the issues in the case. • Remember, there is no single "right" or "best" answer. (It depends…)
