  4. Monasteries/priories • St Peter’s Cell, Augustinian nuns (c1171) • Priory of the Hospital of Sts Mary and Edward King and Martyr, known as Holy Cross OSA. Crutched friars. (c1210) • Dominicans (c1227) • Franciscans (c 1240) • Templar frankhouse later given to Hospitallers (by 1292)
