Legislative Changes • CWC § 5103 (e) (2) – Surface Water Diversions • Only applies to grant applicant • Added BMS question • State Board self-certification form in final • CWC §10933.7 – GW elevation monitoring • Only applies to grant applicant • Grant staff to confer with CASGEM staff • New Statewide Priority • SB855 • Integrate storm water resource plan requirements

Text Changes • Work Plan text restructured • How to structure work plan • Emphasize what you need to have a standards compliant plan • Program Preference text restructured • Reduce ambiguity of applying preferences to plans • DAC Funding Target needed - $2.15 M • Available funding - approx $9M • Last planning round with this funding source

  7. Scoring Changes • Reduce weighting factor on schedule • Change program preference scoring • 0.5 pts each, 5 pts max • More focus on the work plan • Tie Breaker • DWR limited discretion in case of tie • Replaces Geographic Balance Points

  8. Planning PSP Schedule • Release final PSP – mid Dec 2011 • Applications due –mid to late Feb • At least 2 months after final • Applicant workshops – late Jan/early Feb 2012 • Draft recommendations approx April 2012 • Final recommendations approx June 2012
